Thatcham Youth's Easter Family Fun Day was an incredible success! Run on April 12th at Moorside Community Centre on Urquhart Road, the day started off with a totally packed out hall for a screening of Disney's Moana. With the afternoon bringing a range of Easter arts & crafts, with lots of fun things being made, there were also games on offer in the hall which were enjoyed by over 150 young people & their families. The weather was also great which meant the games and sports took place outdoors, with a range of football, obstacle courses, human hungry hippos plus lots more courtesy of Berkshire Youths SPLAT team!
Youth Clubs Manager Dan Carter, who organized the event said, 'The day was an incredible success and we welcomed a lot more people than we had expected, especially to the movie morning, this just goes to show events such as this are needed and worthwhile in the town and it was great to hear so many positive comments. The day was run by a team of volunteers from Thatcham Youth who all gave up their days and a massive thank you must go to them also.'
With the success of the event, Thatcham Youth are considering running a similar event over the summer holidays so keep an eye out for more information on that. However help in the form of volunteers is always needed for events like these, so if you are interested in helping out in any way please contact Dan at firstname.lastname@example.org
