Thatcham Youth have this month started a trial of carrying out outreach Youth Work on the streets of Thatcham. The project, which is a brand new concept for Thatcham Youth, will mean that youth workers are on the streets of Thatcham two evenings a week, engaging directly with young people.
We are excited to announce our Summer School Holiday Events that will take place during August of this year.
We kick off with an Animal Handling Session on 13th August. We then have our ever popular Summer Fun Day on 21st August and we round off with a show from Fred in the Shed on 28th August.
All events will be held at Moorside Community Centre, Urquhart Road, Thatcham. We will reveal more details closer to the time but keep an eye on our Facebook page for more.
Thatcham saw the return on Thatcham Youth's annual Easter Family Fun Day and what a great day it was! With over 400 local residents turning up at Moorside Community Centre throughout the day, taking advantage of the free easter themed arts & crafts, sports and bouncy castles on offer and a movie morning.
We’re joining UK Youth, a leading national charity that reaches 1.5 million young people across the UK, for #StopLookListen19 this National Safeguarding Week.
For the third year running, Thatcham Youth will be running a Free Family Fun Day at Easter.
The day will start with a screening of Ralph Breaks The Internet at 9.30am, the afternoon will be filled with arts & crafts, sporting activities and bouncy castles, running from 12.30pm-4.00pm
We will also offer our tuck shop for sweets & drinks before the movie & throughout the afternoon.
