The first of the events will be the animal handling session, on August 13th from 10am - 12pm. Suitable for all of the family, we will be welcoming Berkshire Reptile Encounters to the centre with a whole host of lizards, snakes, toirtoises and more!
The next event will be the ever popular Summer Family Fun Day, funded by Newbury Building Society. This event taking place on August 21st from 10-4pm, with a whole host of arts & crafts on offer, sporting activities run by Berkshire Youth, bouncy castles and there will also be welcoming Beasts to Butterflies Face Painting to the event who will be offering face painting for a small charge. The day is always busy with lots of fun taking place and is our third year of running the event!
We will finish of the events with a great show from Fred in the Shed, on August 28th starting at 10am and running until 12pm. Fred in the Shed is a great comedy show with a whole host of laughs for all of the family.
Head of Youth Activities Dan Carter said, "We wanted to expand our range of free activities during the school holidays with the previous fun days always being so well attended. We understand how hard it can be to entertain children, especially if you are on a tight budget and that is why we make sure these events are free and accessible. It's important to bring the community together to take part. We hope to see lots of people attending throughout August."
