Thatcham Youth Fun Run 2022 Success!

This year’s Thatcham Family Fun Day was a great one, with lots going on and great weather to match! Thatcham Youth were incredibly excited to bring back the fun run, something that has been absent from the fun day in previous years.

The Fun Run was well supported with 95 young people (and mascots!) registered for the different age categories. All the runners were delighted to receive their medals at the end of the races & all the winners were presented with a winners trophy to take home too. In total the event raised £325 for Thatcham Youth which will be put directly into delivering youth work in the town.

On the event our Head of Youth Activities Dan said, “We were really excited about the event when the Town Council approached us and asked us to organise it. It was amazing to see the event return to the fun days and to see so many young people having fun in the races was great! We are already getting plans together for next years fun run and we hope to make it even bigger and better”

We have added some photos to the article below to look back on the day!

Shoutout to our mascot runners! Well done to Thames Valley Kings Wheelchair Basketball Mascot Uncle Bob on winning the race!
