Thatcham saw the return on Thatcham Youth's annual Easter Family Fun Day and what a great day it was! With over 400 local residents turning up at Moorside Community Centre throughout the day, taking advantage of the free easter themed arts & crafts, sports and bouncy castles on offer and a movie morning.
For the third year running, Thatcham Youth will be running a Free Family Fun Day at Easter.
The day will start with a screening of Ralph Breaks The Internet at 9.30am, the afternoon will be filled with arts & crafts, sporting activities and bouncy castles, running from 12.30pm-4.00pm
We will also offer our tuck shop for sweets & drinks before the movie & throughout the afternoon.
More details will be released on the event page as we get closer.

For those of you who don't know me, I am Dan Carter the Head of Youth Activities here at Thatcham Youth and it is my job to ensure our youth delivery is able to run and does so in a safe, fun and inclusive manner. I have decided to start writing a quarterly blog to keep you all up to date and informed about what Thatcham Youth have been up to! So this one is a little late as I'll be looking back at July, August & September!
Welcome to our website. Here you will be able to find out about our youth groups, roller disco & other events as well as ways that you can help us!
Thatcham Youth was established in 2010 when a local young resident approached Thatcham Vision to ask for a youth club for his age group, he was 10 at the time. After lots of meetings with lots of partners and a lot of hard work, Vision Youth Club opened it's doors in April 2010 and cotinues to run today and is a very popular club!
Looking back on 2017/18, the below was written by our Head of Youth Activities Dan Carter.
We're at that time of year where I am having to write report's and evidence our activities for our funders, so I thought it would be a good time to have a quick look back over the year.
First off a massive thank you must go to all of our staff & volunteers who make our activities possible and to our funders and those who have donated to us! Without all of you, what we do wouldn't be possible.
Back last year Thatcham Youth found out that we would be apart of the Co-op Community Fund, where Co-op members can choose us as their charity and donate money with every shop, and the best thing is, it doesnt cost anything for members to do! To support us all you have to do is simply choose us as your cause for your co-op members card and we then receive 1% of all own brand products you buy in store and also a share of the carrier bag charges! Its that simple. We really hope you choose our cause so that we can raise some much needed funds for all of our projects!
